briar rose is all DONE

a SWEET briar rose finish....the pattern was totally inspired by redpepperquilts  and the fastest ever hst method is from here  and an easy tutorial here from missouri quilt company
the strawberries and the bees are my favorites from briar rose fat quarter tower xo

i machine quilted this w spring fling by patricia ritter ~ it was a perfect choice w the daisies and the bumble bees  ~  i was a bit worried about all that bias cutting but the hst's finish up so perfect and all the bias quilts up beautifully w a bit of steam  and my points are ALMOST perfect xo

i  made a scrappy binding with my teeny tiny leftovers ...
i made a stamp and selvage label xo

i started hand sewing the binding with the sweet afternoon sunshine and a corona

i love using the clover clips for binding ~ no more pins for me

moved onto more stitching w a glass of wine just before dinner ... cheers to selfish saturday sewing xo

and finished it up in the evening after a delicious dinner made by nick

i love everything about this quilt  ~  thank you to rita and eva for the inspiration xo

especially the back ~ i took a big chance on this recycled cotton/poly shower curtain cuz it was so very PERFECT and i am not disappointed xo

SO MANY PHOTOS but it is one of the sweetest quilts i have made xo

it was a GREAT saturday with a GREAT selfish sewing  finish...XOXO
i started 3 quilts with the easy hst method  ~ more here  so i am very happy to have one completely done  ~ happy sunday xo pam

  1. Wow that is beautiful! My question was going to be 'what is that great fabric on the back' so I'm glad you mentioned it (^_^).
