a SWEET briar rose finish....the pattern was totally inspired by redpepperquilts and the fastest ever hst method is from here and an easy tutorial here from missouri quilt company |
the strawberries and the bees are my favorites from briar rose fat quarter tower xo |
i made a scrappy binding with my teeny tiny leftovers ... |
i made a stamp and selvage label xo |
i started hand sewing the binding with the sweet afternoon sunshine and a corona |
i love using the clover clips for binding ~ no more pins for me |
moved onto more stitching w a glass of wine just before dinner ... cheers to selfish saturday sewing xo |
and finished it up in the evening after a delicious dinner made by nick |
i love everything about this quilt ~ thank you to rita and eva for the inspiration xo |
especially the back ~ i took a big chance on this recycled cotton/poly shower curtain cuz it was so very PERFECT and i am not disappointed xo |
SO MANY PHOTOS but it is one of the sweetest quilts i have made xo |
it was a GREAT saturday with a GREAT selfish sewing finish...XOXO |
Wow that is beautiful! My question was going to be 'what is that great fabric on the back' so I'm glad you mentioned it (^_^).
