my small world ~ section seven...last but definitely not the least

section seven is a beauty
section six and seven joined together here

all seven sections hanging out together
the backround squares are 16 across by 17 down ~ i broke them down to set the hills into sections [hill block 1]  the dresden block with a mini bonus dresden  was done with a wedge ruler [ hill block 2]  the 3 half rings were done with paperpiecing [so appreciated that sewwhatsherlock provided the templates]  [hill block 3] the rainbow was done with half circle freezer paper   [hill block 4]  the hexies  did not get a curve  and i used the easy circle method tutorial  here
hill block 3 was definitely the fussiest but also my favorite

and one of the best parts of this finish was cleaning up the constant mess on my cutting table during creation  xoxoxo

same cutting table honest xo
my small world will be back soon machine quilted and bound...happy wednesday xo pam

quilting mayhem summer sampler

i couldn't say no to the summer sampler at quilting mayhem in snohomish

they have a free weekly block pattern going all summer... and a wonderful finished quilt on display at the shop ....i love block one and yes i love flatter especially the smell but i also love mary ellen's ...

this is block two ~ i am planning on using low volume text for all my backround fabric

i have always wanted to do a solid sampler...and this one is perfect...eight blocks easy peasy
and i do have a solid stash
and then just for fun lily and i are doing a bit of embroidery...i love when my grown up girl wants to craft with me...and if you love embroidery like we love embroidery we are soooo inspired by rebecca ringquist on instagram  and here on drop cloth

                                                      happy happy friday xo pam

my small world section five

quite a few hours were spent on this even if it is the smallest and easiest section yet...fabric choices get me every time !

all repeat blocks except i exchanged the 60 degree diamond and elongated blocks w simple 2 1/2 by 4 1/2 unfinished easy blocks
plus the barn block complete w a little mistake that i later corrected

section five is the small unit on the left...it will be sewn on the lower part of section four

so beautiful from behind when the sun is shining thru
this beauty is all ready for tuesday class at quilting mayhem
                                                          happy friday xo pam
