indian summer jelly roll three finish

i have a special christmas gift finish for isaac and ani xo

i love this simple quilt

machine quilted w the kadinsky panto from digitechpatterns  ~ bound with the perfect polka dot and backed w flannel

jelly roll three was made mostly with indian summer by sarah watson from art gallery

sewed with my alberta sisters on the farm at harvest time  ~ i LOVE sewing with the sisters ~ this is one of my favorite memories and photo of 2015 xoxo

i love this fabric so much that even the little bits were saved for some fun improv sewing

i made three little special somethings

each measuring about 14 by 18" and quilted up w the  geo path panto

i love that we three will have a special memento of these special quilts ~ makes it a bit easier to give these quilts away xoxo
happy holidays ~ only only two more sleeps xo pam

so many christmas hot pads

i love making handmade hotpads ....i find the perfect fabric for them quite often
this year it is  michael miller kitchenette fabric
and i already had the perfect back
i like to load one yard on top and  one yard on the bottom on the longarm with two layers of batting or one layer batt one layer insulbright ~and then i do an easy all over machine quilting

cut the yard into approximately twenty 8" squares ~ i often round the corners for easier binding [no mitering]

choose some fun bindings and a bit of ribbon

the best part is that two yards of fabric make approximately twenty hot pads or mugmats

and since i also love this moda garden project fabric

i have a few more started xo
the one on the left is inspired by a hotpad that kay made for our quilt group a few years ago...

it has an 8" quilted back

with four 8" squares folded in half and woven together on the front ~ then sewn right sides together
my finished pile is growing slowly...eleven down twenty something to go
only four more sleeps xoxox pam

seventeen more sleeps

hello fancy forest ...i love you and i am all ready for you...this quilt is for milo's big boy bed so i have lots of TIME ...got  the fabric on sale at circa 15 and elizabeth hartman's pdf pattern from   here

and i bought this kitchenette fabric w christmas gift hot pads in mind...i put the wholecloth together on my longarm and do a simple stitch

one yard = 20 gift hotpads... but that also equals 20 bindings xo
meanwhile in my sewing room i finished up nancy's beautiful farm girl quilt w loop the loop
and a lovely pile of christmas quilts w a simple stipple for joann

and i can't stop making these cuz they make such a great  little gift xo

also finished joyce's sweetwater w a zigzag and vintage dresden w a clamshell ~ love them both xo
and we are enjoying the first holiday season with milo ~ he will be seven months for his first christmas  xoxo

happy december and a happy christmas quilt finish

i made an extra special scrappy binding

for my long overdue christmas finish more here

i still LOVE every print and solid in this sweet quilt but the riley blake snowman circa 2009  [who inspired all my fabric choices] is my definite favorite xo

i still a half yard cut saved xo

this quilt was started w eight  2 1/2 " wof  strips  and then subcut into 16 1/2 " square blocks and then last minute i decided to  randomly cut into the blocks and  add a white sash to break up the busy prints a bit

i pieced a cozy back with leftover flannel and a few scraps and machine quilted it w bubblewrap from digitech   xoxo

this perfect cuddle  quilt finished up approx. 69 x 78"  i finished the binding just in time to start the  holiday season...

loving our new christmas quilt on the sofa ~ and mr milo is one of my biggest quilt fans...xoxo

happy tuesday ... happy holidays... xo pam
