drove from seattle  to the machine quilters trade show in portland this week with my sister
we stayed at the red lion right across the street from the convention center

we rode the light rail three times...
sisters are quite brave together xo

and we ate at the famous food trucks with judy xo

we shopped a bit...visited the famous powel book store ...had pizza ...

went into a city target for the first time

downtown is very old and beautiful
with so much color xo

the convention center is pretty amazing

we took a dot to dot kind of class w angela walters ~ she is so fun

afterwards i asked her to"get down" so we could see her quilting in the photo and she did xo

lots to see at the show....i bought my superior threads and anne bright pantos and got a bolt of batting from wanda [best customer service ever] at heartbeat quilting and then we toured the juried quilt show...

this was a favorite ~ i am such a tree lover xo

also impressed that this was done on a home machine xo

and this is another favorite

w a well deserved ribbon

big blue was a hit w me

we have come a long way with quilting baby xo

another one that is done on a regular sewing machine ~ AMAZING

these were just a few of my favorites...there were many wonderful quilts in this juried show...check out the MQX winners here and more here

had such a fast and furiously good week with my quilting sister...only thing missing was our other quilting sister...
boo hoo ~ so sad to goodbye at the airport today xo
        happy saturday ....  xo pam

  1. How wonderful! Isn't Portland amazing! We stayed at the red lion too last May for quilt market. Angela is very fun. Enjoy your goodies. Did you get to the modern quilt shop?

  2. Thanks so much for including the picture of my quilt! I'm glad you enjoyed the show- wish I could have been there!

  3. Darn! I didn't know you were there - I was in Angela's class too!
