log cabin quilt retreat 2015

another great sewing getaway with my hen party quilt group at logcabinquiltretreats

first i finished up #mysmallworldqal ~  i have been following verykerryberry's awesome qal with jen kingwell's pattern...it was originally published in a special [hard to find] spring edition of quiltmania but i heard there will soon be a pattern available  xo

i still have a few hand stitches and some fine tuning but i am mostly in love and had so much fun with this sweet quilt
next i cut into this special pile of annamaria's pretty potent ~ it was not easy
i decided on a large hexagon pattern... i am using a creative grid ruler and have learned to do a Y seam...easier than i thought and i am very happy with my fabric/pattern choice xo

and we had a little shopping trip to the ben franklin in monroe where i found a few treasures xo

i also worked on an oldie...i started these foundation pieced blocks in 2012 on a figtreefactory sistersister sewing week

i finsished 6 more 16" blocks  which makes it 64" square ~ thinking i will make one more row cuz i don't want a square cuddle quilt {love how there is lots of room for all of us and i especially love the large design walls}

 started this little cutie in my last few hours of retreat...i have had this half moon charm pack and urban garden by paisley bunny ready to start for a long time...it will be perfect hanging in my sewing room one day...

so approximately 27 hours of  ME sewing equals one tired and very happy girl with a finish, a bit of progress and a few new starts xo

we have been getting away together on quilt retreats for almost 20 years...how lucky are we?
                                                             happy wednesday xo pam
