Back in 2006 when my sisters first started quilting we went on a Western Washington Shop Hop together...
Quitworks NW in Bellevue and Bayside in Olympia both had Quiltsoup Trunkshows going on....I fell hard for Tablescraps, I loved everything about this quilt especially the wild use of orange, red , green and yellow.
I recently finished the 49 blocks needed to complete my modified queen...the original pattern has 25....collecting fabric for this project was a blast...every block was crazy different...like a box of chocolates...
Meanwhile in 2010 my son Sam graduated a 2 year multimedia program at LWC and of coarse I wanted to make a queen quilt for his bed....I was inspired by this simple half log cabin seen at QA quiltshow and rocket ships to represent his "anything is possible future"....using the scraps leftover from Tablescraps this is what I came up with . I also have a label ready for Sam's quilt made by sister Joy with her Janome....btw I recently saw the new Janome Horizon approx. $3000 and want it real bad but that is another story and another year I'm afraid.
I love being surrounded by all this fabulous color....and I am hoping to complete both of these wonderful quilts soon. Happy sewing ...Pam
PS Speaking of color....here is my girl with a her buddies bursting with color and HS pride heading to their first football game of the year.
Oh my you have been a busy girl!! You always inspire me. Ofcourse I love Tablescraps..and what fun to see all your blocks finished. And Sam's quilt is just wonderful. Can't wait to get together again :)
