happily sewed the later part of sunday away with my verykerryberry jen kingwell quiltalong

and i had a special delivery on the weekend...one for me ...one for sister xo

this has been a crazy fun messy summer project ~inspired by verykerryberry jen kingwell my small world i am about 2/3rds into it and i am crazy in love

using fun itty bitty scraps and loving all the teeny tiny blocks...mostly between 1 1/2 and 4 1/2 "

i have been playing with this part .....definitely my favorite section of all

my cutting table has been one hot colorful mess all summer... i started back here in july

    this has been a great little project to have over the busy summer when i really don't get much sew time...and as i said before i could not find the quiltmania special spring edition with the pattern for this crazy fun mysmallworldqal by jen kingwell with verykerryberry but i fell  soooo hard and decided to plug along without it and  thanks to verykerryberry and instagram ~ hashtag #mysmallworldqal there is oodles of great inspirations and i am doing ok...feeling quite challenged but i love improvising.
i LOVE jen kingwell so much i did order her quilt lovely and it does have some similar lovlies in there. xoxo

ohanapecosh ~ mount rainier

we went camping this past weekend...on the very BEAUTIFUL ohanapecosh river

we hiked

to silver falls

we walked in the grove of the patriarchs

we also did the  naches peak loop

and the mt. fremont trail was complete with a mighty mt. rainier backdrop

 this was the view north from a fire look out

the amazing view along the ridge ~ it was a great weekend for sure...we were all sad to say goodbye

meanwhile this is what's happening in the sewing room...i did some feathers and lines on diane's sweet baby girl and matching dolly quilt backed w the softest white rose minky xo

and i got started on katherine's beauty w swirl and twirl from lorien

    we celebrated a 3rd annual cole family picnic as first time parents, grandparents and great grandparents   

 

                                  four generations of cole boys...how lucky are we? milo is a lucky boy xoxo

and it was fun to do becky's basic grey evergreen  christmas quilt in august...finished up so pretty w modern twist from digitech

all about family and a few quilts xo

my alberta family came for a visit ~ we hiked down to snoqualmie falls

we caught the bus to seattle on one of the most beautiful days of the year

we did the big wheel and it was a BID DEAL for ava [4 years old] and me [ fifty -seven years old]

and we were in awe of this view

42 cars 10 minute wait...i would do it again in a heartbeat xo

really should visit seattle more ~ i need my family to visit more often xo

really sad to say goodbye to these four but they were off on their next summer adventure xo

almost the last of my garden blooms ~  boohoo

and this is one of the prize pumpkins that still has a way to grow

and then there is mr. milo ~ i have a date w him on thursday

and i am getting a wee bit of work done...teresa's beautiful quilt is machine quilted w loop the loop

and i just finished up becky's quilt w loop the loop as well ~ it really is a FAVORITE for me and my quilt customers xo!
