sad news at our house ...this sweet blossom tree had to go...it's roots are causing our plumbing problem ...

i will miss that tree...it has been around here longer than us...i am guessing she was about 40 years old...boo hoo

sister time and a bonus zigzag quilt

did that just really happen? i flew to phoenix and had a 4 day visit with my two special sisters...my sister joy and ron have a beautiful winter home in surprise  ~ THANK YOU xo
ok ...NOW i am back but feeling a bit overwhelmed....it was a fast and wonderful visit ...wow ...we shopped we ate we walked we mostly shopped....lots of fabric and even some clothes...maybe some shoes xo

me and my sisters in phoenix xo miss you both already...looking forward to a week of SEWING in the spring xo

we hand picked these on a morning walk ...i love how susan plucked this grapefruit away with one perfect leaf xo all while a lot of friends and family are in the middle of a winter DEEP FREEZE back at home xo

food is always the BEST with my sisters xo

we fabric shopped...i mostly behaved....i bought 2 yards of this ....could not say NO

and susan [triple thank you sister xo] finished piecing this long lost but not forgotten zigzag FOR ME that i started a long time ago....back here in 2011

i loved the ms raffle quilt i made so much that i cut strips for me but never got back to it...now thanks to my sister i have another FINISHED quilt that i LOVE!! ~ you can find a current MODA zigzag pattern here

a very spontaneous and fun 630 am decision to join Oh,Fransson for a catventquiltalong ~ thank you to elizabeth for organizing this fun december project xo and i am  joining in on my first  hashtag [instagram is new to me]  #catventquiltalong

i had this happy little scrap bundle just waiting for a fun project xo perfect for my daughter lily who LOVES cats and is  living in mexico with 2 adopted cats named  orange and mj [even put a mexican pinata in orange's]

and since i will b away i did an xmas kitty too...

 i also got a last minute quilt done for my sister xo

i am flying out to phoenix to have a visit with both sisters in the morning ~  this quilt will be tucked away in my carry on xo [machine quilted w bushberries by lorien]

       i will be back in a few days ready to go again....i think i have about 12 customer quilts to finish before christmas....and i hope to find a bit of christmas craft and catvent time  too....happy sunday xo pam

another quick and easy christmas craft xo

i was inspired by i'm feeling so crafty to make these miniature fridge magnets

i rescued these little paper pieced flowers from a giveaway stash a few years ago. ..

and they are absolutely perfect for this sweet little christmas craft

i made the first one today and got 7 more ready to go....they are so stinkin cute xo

 between sewing for customers, having plumbing problems[temporarily solved] and company coming for thanksgiving i am so happy to find a few minutes here and there to craft....and i so appreciate all the great ideas out there in wonderful blogland !! xo pam
