way back in april i made a surprise wedding quilt xo

in april i started a super special custom order surprise wedding quilt

mother of the bride requested fabric from friends and family all over the world and she got a great response
we were inspired by scrapper's delight from one of my very favorite books ~ sunday morning quilts

and i loved having my new extra large ironing board for this fun project
and a new design wall to play with the placement xo

i love how this wide range of fabric came together beautifully to make a very special quilt ~ i had so much enjoyment creating this

i was able to use the extras for a scrappy binding and i slipped a piece of me in here too

i chose the brides favorite color flannel for back and  pieced it  w a special heart that was tie dyed  for the couple xo

it finished up PERFECT with all over spiral panto

i don't do  a lot of custom work so it was a nice break from machine quilting before i machine quilted it xo

it was a june wedding in israel and i was so happy to receive this fabulous  photo of the bride and groom with their quilt xoxo

another baby quilt with the jelly roll race and a small project from featherweight class xo

i made my own jelly roll from my lovely  pink  stash ~  i do love to make a PINK quilt

i started sewing at about 4:20 ~  here is a  great tutorial at the missouri quilt company with jenny for the one hour jelly roll race

i love  me  a stack of pink wof''s so i took lots of  pretty in pink photos
finished piecing this jelly roll race quilt in less than 2 hours...

went with a striped binding

and modern twist for the machine quilting...a nice little finish all from my stash xo
also finished up this cute little project with a sweetwater mini charm pack at featherweight class on wednesday

it was our last class w joyce [boo hoo] at keepsake
featherweight class should start up again in the fall ~ so fun to sew little projects w our beloved machines xo

orange crush the second

this sweet top was started long ago after falling in love  with the  ms raffle quilt that i made in 2010 [photo below of orange crush the first]   later  my sister helped me finish  piecing the second one  and then i added some corner borders...and then once again it sat waiting [ ahhh, the life of a quilt]
orange crush number one was  done with hour glass blocks and  quilted w spring fling

and since my summer quilting  schedule is lighter i had some time  this week to  quilt it.... i chose the panto lilac from digitech

and i had this awesome orange polka dot binding picked out long ago...

and this perfect little bit of fabric ~ from aunty cookie  for my pieced chevron flannel back ~ together it all makes the PERFECT quilt xo
in love

the pieced back

xo

definitely another happy finish
this quilt was pieced w  6" pinwheels and a 6" border finishing up at  approximately 65 by 76"
happy monday xo pam
